• Can another reputable company reference this company in the industry? As well as many, many happy customers, lots of whom stay in touch with us throughout their travels
• Can another company offer me clear and open information about where I might work before I hand over any money? If you are offered a package, which includes a job guarantee/offer pre-departure, insist they give you a list of the employer’s they work with prior to paying any money. Some companies will request a deposit (as much as $495) and offer information on companies they have worked with in the past, be mindful of this. You should try and work with companies who have specific employer partners who have entrusted the company to hire on their behalf. The safest bet is to choose a company that publishes their employers rather than the amount of employers they MAY have.
• Can this company offer me clear and open information about where I might live before I hand over any money?
• Does the company’s staff have the right background and relevant experience to give me the right info? Check how many years the company sales team/consultants have lived and worked in the country which they are recommending to you? Remember you are not buying a job, you are paying for a relocation service and with this you must get experience knowledge and credibility.
• Does this company stand up as reputable when I research them for scams on the internet?

How to identify a scam

When a company advertise or tells you over the phone they are able to place you with an employer/resort or hotel then verify this first. Call the employer; check they have a Preferred Staff supplier Agreement. We have recently learned told about a company located in Main Beach, QLD Australia who misled many applicants in believing they had agreement with Big White ski resort. Applicants we told sold a package at an inflated price (measured against industry standard) These applicants were told to attend the FREE recruitment fair in October. This is a scam.
