USA 12 Months 'Kickstart' Package

Be more than just a tourist. The 12 month Work & Travel program is the most flexible way for Aussie’s & Kiwi’s to explore the United States, at their own pace. We will even organize employment for you before you leave Australia with one of our world-renowned partnered ski resorts. If a job in the snow isn’t for you, then perhaps consider our 12 month visa sponsorship option and work wherever YOU decide

If you take advantage of the 12 month Kickstart Package and head to the slopes, once the winter season has finished participants are free to explore the US working wherever they please, within a whole host of different positions, for the remainder of their 12 month working visa.

WHAT DO I NEED?

To apply for the USA Kickstart Package, Mr Obama (aka US Department of Homeland Security) requires all potential participants to be currently enrolled or have graduated in the last 12 months at a tertiary institution (i.e. University / TAFE or private tertiary college).

WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?

The Working Holiday Club is partnered with some of The States most exciting ski resorts, including the world-renowned Park City, home to the legendary 3 Kings Park and Sun Dance Film Festival. We also have partnerships with several ski resorts around the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Did we mention that Tahoe is dissected by the California / Nevada state borders? Yes, that means there is non-stop action all day and all night!

We have employment opportunities in a variety of departments including retail, rentals, ski school, central reservations, lift/base operations and food and beverage to name a few. All positions provide full training and offer great benefits including competitive wages, staff discounts, free lift passes and invitations to countless social events and parties. WOW! DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING?

Just a few things..

  • You will be responsible for Compulsory travel insurance for your time in the US $999. (It is required by the US Department of State that all visa sponsors provide travel insurance for J1 participants)
  • You will also need to cover the US consulate fees

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE THE 12 MONTH KICKSTART PACKAGE?

Due to the current economic climate, the U.S Government has restricted the number of working holiday visas they offer to foreign nationals. As a result, internationals must have their J1 working holiday visa sponsored by an accredited organisation in order to be eligible to work and travel in the USA.

What makes our Kickstart Package even more convenient is that employment can be organised in less than 24 hours at our annual recruitment expo. At the expo you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss your options and possible placements with our resort partners here in Australia. Yes, they come to Australia to meet you!

LET’S GET STARTED

All enquiries can be made through any of our travel partners (Flight Centre, Student Flights or OWH) or directly to the WHC on 1300 295 579.

Once your application has been received, a WHC consultant will be in contact to discuss package deals available and help you choose the right program that best suits your requirements and travel plans.

When you have selected your destination and been pre-screened by a WHC consultant, you will then be issued with an invoice for your deposit of $200. This must be paid in FULL before the recruitment process can begin.

Once your application forms and payment have been received, your documentation will be sent to our recruitment coordinator for review. Our recruitment coordinator will then be in touch to arrange a preliminary interview with you in order to screen you for the position of your choice. Based on this information, you will be conditionally approved or declined for a recommended position and resort. You may be offered an interview for an alternative role if our recruitment coordinator feels that you would be more suited towards it. Interview dates and times will then be issued to you and it is compulsory that you attend.
