Powder Package

WORK, PLAY, SKI!

You’ve worked hard all year so why not reward yourself with a summer holiday to remember. Imagine spending the university summer break calving it up in some of the USA’s best ski resorts – while actually getting paid to be there! The champagne powder, amazing tree-runs and non-stop nightlife make a USA snow season an experience like no other. Our Powder Package is specially designed to ensure that no participant misses a single lecture or tutorial, but if you are looking to stay a little longer, why not consider the TWHC’s  12 Month Kickstart Package option.

WHERE WILL I BE WORKING?

The Working Holiday Club is partnered with some of The States most exciting ski resorts. Including the world renowned Park City, home to the legendary 3 Kings Park and Sun Dance Film Festival.

With over 14 ski resorts within a three-hour drive, California’s Lake Tahoe really is the hub of ski resorts in North America. Did we mention that Tahoe is dissected by the California / Nevada state borders? Yes, that means there is non-stop action all day and all night and we have partnerships with five resorts around Lake Tahoe.

Whether you prefer Colorado, Utah or California we have a smorgasbord of resort partners to suit all needs, wants and desires!

We have employment opportunities in a variety of departments including retail, rentals, ski school, central reservations, lift/base operations and food and beverage to name a few. All positions provide full training and offer great benefits including competitive wages, staff discounts, free lift passes and invitations to countless social events and parties. If you are interested in getting paid while training to become a certified instructor, be sure to ask us about the instructor development program.

What makes our Powder Package even more convenient is that employment can be organised in less than 24 hours at our annual recruitment expo. You will have the opportunity to meet and discuss your options and possible placements with our resort partners here in Australia -Yes, they come to Australia to meet you!

When the sun is shining and you are looking to further explore, why not board a flight and head to San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York or thaw out in Cancun, Mexico – OC style!

WHY IS THE POWDER PACKAGE RIGHT FOR ME?

With literally thousands of youths from all over the world attempting to work in Canada, Japan and U.S ski resorts each season, most resort HR departments simply cannot cope with the sheer volume of applications.

While some resorts do accept direct applications, usually for skilled positions i.e. qualified instructors, the majority of which use the services of agencies to recruit internationals for them?

The Working Holiday Club has established partnerships with leading flight, travel, recruitment and ski resort organisations to ensure participants have all the assistance and support they need. Not only will TWHC ensure that you have the best chance at securing a job at one of the country’s greatest ski resorts, but we will also give you all the assistance you need to have one of the greatest experiences of your life!

The Working Holiday Club also sponsors all J1 visa’s, which is a US government requirement.

LET’S GET STARTED

All enquiries can be made through any of our travel partners (Flight Centre, Student Flights or OWH) or directly to the WHC on 1300 295 579.

Once your application has been received, a WHC consultant will be in contact to discuss package deals available and help you choose the right program that best suits your requirements and travel plans.

Your WHC consultant will then need to pre-screen your suitability for the destination of your choice as every country has different working visa requirements (please refer to our visa requirements page for more details).

Once you have selected your destination and been pre-screened by a WHC consultant you will then be issued with an invoice for your deposit of $200 which must be paid in FULL before the recruitment process can begin.

Once your application forms and payment has been received, your documentation will be sent to our recruitment coordinator for review.

Our recruitment coordinator will then be in contact to organise a preliminary interview with you in order to screen you for the position of your choice.

Based on this information, you will be conditionally approved or declined for a recommended position and resort. You may be offered an interview in an alternative role if our recruitment coordinator feels you will be more suited towards it.

Interview dates and times will then be issued to you and it is compulsory that you attend you original interview scheduled.
